The Russian Political Science Association is an all-Russian public organization which unites professionals-political scientists from various regions of the Russian Federation. The main goal of the Association is to foster the consolidation of the professional scientific community and the development of political science in Russia. Among the priorities of the Association`s activities are:
- Adopting professional standards and ethical norms in the work of political scientists.
- Developing infrastructure of the political scientists’ community.
- Promoting scholarly foundations and traditions of Russian political science.
- Promoting high standard education and teaching of political science.
- Increasing expert significance of Russian political science.
Governing bodies of the Association are the Governing Board and the Scientific Council.

Joint Research Project of the RPSA and John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation “Developing Political Studies in Russia in the Areas of Intersection of Russian and Western Interests: Promoting Dialogue and Cooperation on Internationally Sensitive Issues”.In 2012-2013 the RPSA’ International Cooperation Council convened the Joint Research project that led to formation of two international collectives of authors who co-operated in formats of joint sessions, seminars, exchange of texts and comments and published two international collective monographs: “International Cooperation in the Arctic: Issues of security and Development” (Moscow: 2013, ROSSPEN Publishers, 102 p.) and “Arms Control: Does It Have A Future?” (Moscow: 2013, ROSSPEN Publishers, 280 p.).
